The Sattler Threaded Fitting Cannula features a German surgical-grade stainless steel shaft with a high-polish finish on both the inner bore and outer surface. Twenty-four round microports — each approximately 1mm in diameter — distribute across four sides of the distal shaft. Specifically, this four-sided layout defines the Sattler pattern. The blunt, closed dome tip avoids cutting into tissue during insertion. A Nouvag-standard threaded fitting hub sits at the proximal end. Here, the shaft locks into the upper side and a stainless steel handle threads onto the lower side. Available diameters run from 3mm to 5mm, with working lengths from 15cm to 32cm.
The anodized aluminum hub body carries a knurled outer ring for hand-tightening without tools. Additionally, full-contact thread engagement between hub and handle eliminates play during active aspiration. The shaft wall holds consistent thickness throughout, resisting lateral flex under machine suction load. Notably, this hub accepts only Nouvag-compatible threaded handles — excluding luer lock and 60cc Toomey connections entirely.
